It was received in relation to their excellent contribution and their handling of shipments over the course of the year 2014-5. Alongside the certificate, they also received a A380 crystal aircraft model to mark the achievement, which will be proudly displayed by the team at the Eram Rover Logistics headquarters.

This marks the second award of the year for the CQR Dammam member, having been a finalist in the 2015 Lloyd’s List awards for the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent sector. The company is a joint venture between Eram Group and Rover Logistics, to create the perfect blend of a wide network, a wealth of experience and a focus on offering an unmatched quality of services to customers. As such it is not hard to see why they are receiving recognition from across the industry.

The team professionally handled the lacing of the material at their own warehouses before having the machinery shipped using 2 x 40 flat racks. This is the beginning of what C.V.M. hopes will be a fruitful relationship between themselves and this customer, continuing with the shipping of two slightly smaller JCB machines at the end of the month.

When asked why customers keep returning, Manager Vlasis Maragos had this to say, “We adapt our operations to the economic climate of the day; offering services which are always economical, advantageous and effective.”

Thinking outside the box

Being a freight forwarder is not only moving freight from A to B but also about being an extension of a clients’ supply chain…thinking outside the box!

AT&L Canada, the CQR member in Montreal, works closely with its customers always with a goal of mutual growth.

Recently, one of its customers was moving truck loads from the USA to Mexico single-handedly with an extremely low yield per ton. In addition, as the value of the product was also low, whey powder, the logistics cost was very important for them in order to remain competitive in the market. So, they asked CQR Montreal to come up with a creative solution.

“Our team came up with a road / boxcar option which represented substantial savings for our customer, resulting in a reduced monthly tonnage on the road. We reduced 53 truck loads to 13 boxcars, with a final saving of 21% on their logistics costs!” said Business Development Director, Marie-Christine Gaudreault.

Such creativity is just what customers today are looking for and CONQUEROR would like to congratulate AT&L Canada on this successful project.
