CQR Livorno celebrates 5th anniversary

We are pleased to report that the CQR Livorno (Italy) Member, Tieffe Group SRL, celebrated their 5th Anniversary on the 23rd of January 2017. The whole firm gathered for a dinner in celebration and a good time was had by all!

Tieffe Group SRL’s CEO Tiberio Faoro said at the event: “I want to say thank you to my staff, suppliers, customers and to all our Conqueror partners in the world, we are one!” 

The whole team are proud of what they have accomplished over these five years and are ready to continue to support their customers and partners with their usual top quality services.

Back in January 2012, the team comprised of only 2 people. Today, not only they have grown to be 10 full time staff, but they are working at the highest of standards, as recognized by Dun & Bradstreet last December, when they awarded them their top rating.

They would like to introduce Mr. Jean Sadek, an experienced Logistics professional with over 20 years’ experience in the fields of cargo, oil and Gas logistics and Supply Chain Management. The appointment has been made in continuance with the MGL Cargo Services expansion plan. Mr Sadek has joined the organization from Panalpina World Transport where he was the Country Head of Energy Solutions for 10 Years.

Jean told us that he is excited to join the well-established team and is looking forward to using his experience to increase the projects shipping capacity of the company.

Already in-situ, Jean is ready to handle project related client enquiries and requests. Welcome on board!

CQR Chengdu is the leading player in China for the rail service from China to Europe (Poland & Germany), and then use trucking service to extend to other nearby countries, within East Central Europe, Western Europe, Scandinavia & Baltic areas..

They work with many railway companies in China (like Wuhan, Hefei, Chengdu, Suzhou, Yiwu, Changsha, Chongqing, Changchun, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, etc.), which allows them great scope in securing the best shipping times and rates. In addition to the rail FCL service, they also have weekly rail LCL consolidation service to Poland & Germany.

Rail service is far cheaper than airfreight services, and also much faster than ocean service. It’s a good choice for the client who needs fast service with economic cost.

The occasion marked Seda’s adoption of a new business model. The new model integrates trading, logistics, financing and supply chain management with their own IT support team from a traditional logistics company.

A key element of the new model is the finance facility, which is predicted to be very useful for overseas clients as Seda can work with overseas agents and then make the cargo payment to the seller in the name of the Buyer. On receipt of payment from the client, profits will then be shared with the overseas agents. To reflect this, during the event, a cooperation ceremony was held with the local banks to support their financing service.

We are pleased to share that CQR Lahore have managed the transportation of 200 buses for Daewoo Pakistan Lahore’s Intra city service

The job was completed successfully, covered the shipment of 200 busses of 17,500 M3 from Lianyungang Port China to be discharged at the KPT Karachi seaport.

The buses weighing 17,500 M3 were shipped from Lianyuangang Port in China and discharged at KPT Karachi seaport. The process was completed with such ease due to UF Group’s strong ties with the Pakistan Customs and Port Authorities. This relationship has been garnered through regularly providing well-handled shipments.

The client, Daewoo Pakistan, were very appreciative of the UF Logistics team for the outstanding services both in terms of speed of delivery and professionalism.

In September 2016, the CQR Tehran member successfully handled a shipment for OGCC Kazstroy Service JSC from Atyrau to Kazakhistan via Bandar Abbas

Due to the weight restrictions (the tonnage was c.254,500 kg), the shipment arrived in several lots as BreakBulk, and in containers both HC or FR (12 x 40′ HC + 2 x 20′ GP + 1 x 20′ FR + 1 x 40′ FR). They arranged transit & trucking from Bandar Abbas by overland truck and rail to final destination Atyrau.

CQR Panama City opens new warehouse

CQR Panama City member have recently opened a new warehouse located in Zona Franca Panexport, Panama City.

Located in a bonded area, the warehouse is close to the international airport and just 40 minutes away from the main Panama ports. “We are really thrilled with the additional space, we can accommodate all kinds of cargo, general, high value, chemicals to name but a few and of course it’s a great location. Being so close to the transit points makes it so convenient to our customers,” said Agent Luis Carlos Bustamante.

The data is taken from 2015 and truly reflects the stability and growth that the company has established.

The attained D&B 1 Rating is the highest level of reliability as a counterpart of a commercial transaction BtoB. To highlight the magnitude of this achievement, it is worth noting that only 6% of the 5 million+ Italian companies assessed, attain this level.

Complex shipment captured on film

CQR Itajai has undertaken an audacious operation during March and May of 2016, the team at Quantum Logistics have successfully coordinated the entire logistics process of a project cargo, all the way from Taiwan to Rio do Sul in Brazil. This is particularly challenging due to the additional 180km of land transportation from the port of discharge Itajai.

The core layout of the assignment consisted of partial vessel chartering, together with POL & POD handlings supervision, plus a sophisticated duty for the inland transport.

At final destination, the machinery (which was valued at millions of dollars) was passed to the consignee in perfect condition.

The Cargo details were as follows:

    • Total 3 cases, 169.5 ton and 362.71 m3,
    • Main piece weighing 156 ton and measuring 11.46m length / 4.69m width / 4.20m height
