Network’s new conquest
(01-06-2011).- Conqueror Freight Network has signed up Aries Global Logistics, adding New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Miami to its global network. Four months after its launch Conqueror has what it calls “virtual branches” in 100 cities in 58 countries.
The network is designed to operate like a multinational freight forwarding group, with a single member per city. Conqueror said the idea of the network was to equip members with all the advantages previously enjoyed only by the large forwarders, including a global network of reliable agents, exclusive software to delimit territories, a payment-protected environment, and a dispute resolution service.

Conqueror bestaat uit onafhankelijke expediteurs die via een nauwe samenwerking een mondiaal netwerk kunnen aanbieden aan klanten. Het is bedoeling dat de kleinere agenten via die alliantie beter kunnen concurreren met de grote expediteurs.
Deelnemers van Conquerer, dat dit jaar van start is gegaan, zijn verplicht een ‘substantieel’ deel van hun internationale lading af te wikkelen via het netwerk van de groep. Dat zorgt er voor dat de leden een groter volume aan importzendingen kunnen afwikkelen, meldt de groep.
(24-05-2011).- The freight forwarding company Varekamp Air has been selected as the exclusive representative in Amsterdam for the Conqueror Freight Network, which operates as a “virtual multinational” in which independent firms around the world work together in a regimen of “disciplined cooperation”.

It is an honor and a privilege for us to belong to the elite Conqueror group,” says Varekamp’s Branch Manager Marco de Jonge, who notes that all candidates for membership are carefully selected for solvency, size, and reputation. So far Conqueror has rejected more than 80% of all applicants.
Conqueror, which began accepting applications last September and launched operations in January, is choosing one strong forwarder to act as a “virtual branch” in each of 564 cities in 127 countries. Members agree to use each other’s services for a substantial proportion of their shipments, which ensures a significant increase in business volume for all, among other advantages.
